For over five decades, The Exact Change has been a musical institution in Northeastern Pennsylvania. Led by the talented Paul LaBelle, this nine-piece ensemble delivers a dynamic blend of male and female vocals, sizzling rhythms, and a powerhouse horn section known as the “Bad Ass Brass.”
With five lead vocalists, The Exact Change covers a diverse range of music, from Motown classics to Earth, Wind and Fire, Chicago, Stevie Wonder, Big Band standards from Glenn Miller to the smooth sounds of Sinatra.
But it’s on stage where The Exact Change truly shines, with electrifying live performances that brim with spontaneity, excitement, and superb solos. The band takes pride in their professionalism and total dedication to each and every arrangement they play.
The Exact Change’s reputation as one of the region’s premier live acts has earned them a slew of accolades, including a coveted spot playing both Inaugural Celebrations for Governor Robert P. Casey in Harrisburg, PA, performing for over 10,000 people. They’ve also opened for and backed Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons with great success. And, unlike some other bands, all of Exact Change’s music is performed “live,” with absolutely no prerecorded or sequenced tracks.
